Alexander J. Vitale joined Pastori | Krans after over fourteen years as a criminal trial attorney and, most recently, Managing Attorney for the Concord Trial Office of the New Hampshire Public Defender, where he oversaw a staff of more than 35 while maintaining his own active litigation caseload. Alex has tried more than 45 jury trials to verdict, spanning the full range of the criminal docket — from homicide, sexual assault, and financial crimes to DWI — and has built his practice on sophisticated motion work: constitutional suppression challenges, Daubert challenges to expert testimony, and complex statutory and sentencing arguments requiring close analysis of case law. That breadth of experience gives him a practical, courtroom-tested understanding of how cases move, whether the matter involves a homicide charge, a custody dispute, an employment law claim, or DWI.

At Pastori | Krans, he now applies that same litigation discipline to employment and family law matters — constructing case theory, managing high-stakes proceedings under pressure, and distilling complicated legal problems into clear, actionable analysis for clients navigating difficult personal and professional disputes.

Before returning to New Hampshire, he served as a Deputy State Public Defender in Colorado, trying 25 jury trials involving assault, identity theft, forgery, and attempted homicide. He also spent a year as a Staff Attorney with the New Hampshire Bureau of Security Regulations, investigating securities fraud and embezzlement cases and representing the state in multi-jurisdictional regulatory actions.
